| I have the personal assurance of Global News meteorologist Anthony Farnell (with whom I had dinner last night) that there will be no rain during the game. He was in the south end on Saturday...pretty sure that was his first TFC game. |

I want to win this game.
I want to win this Championship.
I want to watch TFC play against top-flight competition in the winter.
Leaving for BMO with a pit stop along the way for a refreshment or three... |

Does anybody know where this game can be streamed live?
atdhe.net, myp2p.eu & Justin.tv do not have this game. It might just be the end of the road for those of us outside Canada at the moment.
Go TFC |

| I'll answer it myself -- yes that's what we're looking for! A bit choppy, but better than nothing! Yes!!! |

Harmse of all people.
I got home from work at the 4:21 mark when my T.V. turned on and it was already 1-0. Great sight to see.
Let's keep it up this half.
De Ro is a freakin' monster, wha! |

James - you should get a free dinner for the rain.
I only started catching the second half as I had to go visit my grandfather.
Did Harmse dive in front of Charles?
What's with all the Whitecaps diving?
Anyway, lots of amazing chances but we're still not converting. I hope we do when go back to the league matches. DC and Chicago aren't going to keel over for us.
Manager in a suit again, although tonight it got soaked. |

| Feck me, i can finish better than barrett! Although I will see he was pretty good down the wing, some strong balls in and good defense but still 2.5 clear chances you gotta finish one and not just putt putt it right to the keeps. |

Hey James, I think Anthony Farnell owes you dinner next time It looked very wet out there!
I won't say much, hard to see very well on the choppy web stream. However, maybe we need that DP striker after all, forget about the cap hit??? TFC has to put more of those great chances in the net, most teams won't give you that many. Good that Cummins didn't go with the "Cdn" keeper, Sutton probably wouldn't have managed that great save near the end. I think Serioux is carrying a couple of injuries (thigh & shoulder at least), probably needed a break. It's reassuring that Nana can step up so well when needed. |

| Sorry fwiffo, didn't refresh & see your comment re free dinner by the time I posted. Maybe Global should donate free hotdogs for James' whole section next game! |

Wow...poor performance both in the stands and on the field even though we had most of the chances....only 16,000 showed and I couldn't even give my extra ticket away after trying intially to sell off the pair here and on Craigs list...even the scalpers were left holding.
Those who did go, however, well done. (pat on the back for myself)
Yes, I'm hyper critical. But dammit. I pay for my seats with my hard earned money.
First. Is Chad Barrett touched by the Jeff Cunningham curse? Is he JC in disguise? I know it was slick and slippery out there - shit I stood in the effing rain too - but man he has to put those chances away.
Second, Frie? Effing UnFreakingBrillliant.
Third. I have yet to see a player in the MLS with the first touch that DeRo has. That ball is magnetically attracted to his feet and body. He created a lot of movement and opportunities tonight. The only player I thought came close in that first touch department was Armando G.
AS for the rest...Marvel and Jimmy B played a strong game with lots of heart. Nana? Is that his name because I can't pronounce what's on his shirt (no offense kid) he really played well with Velez. He had a tough tough assignment to mark that hulking monster James who looks more like a heavyweight boxer than a centre forward. Did well despite giving up a few pounds.
And the incident with that Klingon freak Charles and was it Harmse?....my memory is fading...looked like a shot to me.....they both got yellows but that thug Charles who looks like a super heavyweight boxer, had a couple of incidents in which he was throwing his weight around, Shoulda been a red. And he should have been called for a penalty when he hip checked Barrett at the byline with his back.
The reffing was effing awful as usual.
Harmse? Scored a goal but still doesn't catch my eye...not going to be making up any songs about him soon.
Otherwise? CArl Robinson....(Here's to You Mr. Robinson, Jesus, Man we love the way you play, All fucking day. Hey hey hey)
Solid as usual. Marco? Why was he left out for so long? Hello?
Vitti...getting closer...causing trouble....
Ibby...couple of late flashes...
Danny. My son! Always changes the nature of a game does our target man. I can't question him or his performance for the 20 minutes or so he came on.
So 1-0 to the TFC.....expected to see a couple of more goals and a little luck and without Stephan's saves...could have been more serious.
As I said to my friend on the way out....is it too early to start making plans for a week in Jamaica ? |

Funny seeing Dichio in the post-game presser with Cummins. Starting to look like a future assistant or head coach, Danny boy?! I always love hearing Dichio's interviews. From the way he plays & the way he looks, every time he opens his mouth, I'm expecting something in the thickest Cockney. But then he comes out with his cultured accent, and always ready with a good thought & a good word.
Cummins explained tonight's lineup (which had me mighty puzzled at the start of the game). Serioux picked up a light injury last game: jammed his neck on a big header. (Add that to two other injuries Adrian is carrying?) That gave Nana the chance to shine.
Cronin was feeling "tight" after the last game, queue the goal scorer (Harmse WTF !?!). Also Danny wasn't feeling too great as he said himself, making him a better choice as a 2nd-half sub rather than starting. |
